A Deliciously Rich Lesson!

4th Feb 2026
The unmistakable, chocolatey aroma coming from the Rangers 2 classroom this week could mean only one thing: it was time to bake! Our pupils transformed into master patissiers, taking on the serious business of baking a batch of delicious brownies.

While the promise of a sweet treat was certainly excellent motivation, our chefs were digesting much more than just ingredients. This was a full-scale lesson in practical maths and science. Our bakers carefully measured out cups of flour and sugar, turning abstract numbers into real, sensory quantities. We observed how ingredients changed state, watching butter melt and solids become a rich, glossy batter, which was chemistry in its most tasty form.

Following the step-by-step recipe required focus, sequencing, and teamwork. Stirring the thick batter was a superb workout for hand and arm muscles, building the strength needed for writing. The best part, of course, was the lesson in patience as we waited for our creation to bake and cool.

The final result was a well-deserved, gooey reward for a job brilliantly done. A huge round of applause for the bakers, your precision and cooperation made for the perfect recipe!
