A Sweet Lesson in Rangers 2!

21st Oct 2025

There was a delicious aroma coming from the Rangers 2 classroom! We traded our paintbrushes for mixing bowls and got busy making some irresistible chocolate rice crispy cakes.

Yes, we know it looks like we were just expert snack makers (and we certainly gave that job our full focus). But beneath the melted chocolate and crispy rice, a huge amount of learning was taking place.

Our pupils carefully followed visual instructions to sequence the steps, building their independence and understanding. We worked on our counting and measuring skills as we portioned out the ingredients. Stirring that thick, sticky mixture was a superb workout for our hand and wrist muscles, getting them strong for writing. We also practised our waiting skills, which is always a challenge when something so yummy is involved!

It was a wonderful, motivating activity that taught us about the process from start to finish. The best part was getting to taste our successful creations at the end – a well-deserved treat for our brilliant Rangers 2 chefs
