A Topping-Tastic Lesson in Rangers 2!
6th Feb 2026
The classroom was a bona fide pizzeria this week, as we rolled up our sleeves to create our very own personal pizzas. The air was filled with the mouthwatering smell of baking dough and melting cheese as our little chefs got to work.
While the promise of a delicious lunch was a fantastic motivator, our pizza-making session was a full recipe for learning. Our pupils became master mathematicians, carefully counting and measuring ingredients like flour and yeast. They followed a visual recipe step-by-step, building their understanding of sequencing and instruction-following. Kneading and shaping the dough provided a brilliant, tactile workout for hand muscles, developing the fine motor strength crucial for writing.
Choosing and arranging their own toppings was an exercise in decision-making, creativity, and even early fractions as they talked about halves and quarters. Watching the raw ingredients transform in the oven was a wonderful, real-world science lesson on heat and change.
The final result was a well-earned, tasty triumph. A huge slice of congratulations to our chefs for their fantastic focus and teamwork – they truly cooked up something special!
