As part of our work on Electricity, the class learned how to build simple electrical circuits and explored how different materials act as conductors or insulators. We also learned about important innovators such as Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, whose discoveries helped shape the modern world. The children investigated how electricity can power motors and completed a range of circuit challenges to apply their learning. To finish the topic, our class took part in the ESB Networks Safety Competition, designing posters that promote safe and responsible use of electricity, inspired by the Stay Safe, Stay Clear campaign.
