Finding the Rhythm in Rangers 2!

20th Nov 2025
The Rangers 2 classroom was filled with sound and discovery this week as we dove into a music lesson all about volume! We explored the exciting difference between hard and soft sounds, turning our classroom into a symphony of dynamics.

There was a fantastic cacophony of drum beats, shakers, and clapping as we discovered just how loud we could be. This was expertly balanced with moments of intense quiet, where we listened carefully for the softest tap or the gentlest whisper of a maraca. While it may have sounded like controlled chaos (and a whole lot of fun!), our ears were working hard to learn.

This hands-on experience was a masterclass in listening skills and self-regulation. Our pupils learned to control their movements and energy to create the desired sound, building important physical and cognitive skills. We followed cues to start and stop, and practised taking turns to lead our musical experiment.

It was a brilliant way to learn that music isn't just about notes, but also about the power and feeling we put into every sound we make. Well done to our Rangers 2 maestros
