Garda Visit

Last week we had a visit from the local Community Gardaí- Áine and Robbie. They spoke to us about road safety. We discussed how to cross the road safely and how important it is to wear our seatbelts. We were surprised by the amount of children who said their parents didn’t always wear their seatbelts. The Gardaí asked us to become seatbelt sheriffs and keep track of our own families.

We also spoke about bullying and especially cyber bullying. We learned that anything posted online will  never be fully deleted! You cannot open a social media account until you are 13 years old. Never  trust people on the internet whom you have never met as they may not be who they say they are!
