Pointillism

29th Jan 2026
January was the month of Pointillism in Art. We learned about Georges Seurat. In Pointillism the artist uses tiny dots of colour to make a picture. They do not mix the paint, instead they layer dots on top of each other. We thought that the pictures all looked better from far away, up close they looked a bit unrealistic. We painted pictures using cotton buds and paint. We also made some group pictures using dot stickers. They took ages!
