In Art, we explored the beauty of Ireland’s coastline through a range of creative activities. The children created stunning shell art using real shells gathered from the west coast of Ireland, arranging them into patterns and textured designs. We also experimented with paint and colour, learning how different tones and shades can bring artwork to life. We painted Irish lighthouses—an iconic feature of our coastal landscape—capturing their bright colours, bold shapes, and dramatic sea views. (Ms. Whelan)
