The Sun and the Earth.
We learned that the Sun gives us light and heat, which helps plants grow and keep animals and people alive. The Sun also helps make weather and changes the seasons, like summer and winter.
Plants use sunlight to make their own food, and that helps feed all living things. The Sun helps our bodies make vitamin D, which keeps our bones strong. But too much sun can hurt our skin and eyes, so we have to be careful.
We also learned about shadows and how they change during the day. Some fun activities showed how we could use the Sun’s energy in things like solar panels.
In art, we created papier mache models of the Sun and the Earth. This is a picture of just two of our fabulous creations.
